Body Brave

Recovery for every body.
About us

1 in 13 Canadians have an eating disorder. The majority don't get basic treatment or support. We're on a mission to change that.

We help people recover from eating disorders. Through treatment, training and education, we are working to end the suffering they cause. We are a small charitable organization making big changes thanks to our passionate community of volunteers, students, healthcare providers, people with lived experience, parents and donors.

We welcome ALL bodies and are weight inclusive and proudly 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly. Our services are available for people aged 17+, free of charge or covered by OHIP.

Lost in the system. Trying to survive. I found Body Brave....They helped me see I have a life worth living. That the (eating disorder) doesn’t define me. That I am strong and capable of healing. Thank you for helping me save myself.

SETTLER RESPONSIBLITY

Body Brave is located on the traditional territory of the Anishinabewaki ᐊᓂᔑᓈᐯᐗᑭAttiwonderonk (Neutral), Haudenosaunee, Mississauga, and Mississauga’s of the Credit First Nation land. This territory is covered by the Upper Canada Treaties and directly adjacent to Haldimand Treaty territory. We acknowledge that the promises of the settler people’s at the time were not upheld and that we continue to benefit from the ongoing colonization of these lands.
