Can you help me with my weight loss goals?

At Body Brave we do not focus on weight loss. Our goal is to help you develop an evidence-based set of tools and skills to manage emotions and distressing behaviours, as well as approach your body and eating in a healthier, more accepting way. We also look at the underlying issues that might be driving the disordered eating or eating disorder. We are an anti-diet, body positive, size inclusive community.

What can I expect when I attend a program?

Many people are hesistant to join a treatment program with others for fear of being triggered or being different than everyone else. Although being triggered is always a possibility, groups are facilitated by professionals and we establish clear ground rules to keep individuals as safe and comfortable as possible. No one is medically forced to attend Body Brave sessions so you’ll meet people who are usually quite motivated in their recovery. We see all ages, genders and body shapes and sizes at our groups. Contact us to find out which group might be best suited to our needs.
